Roland just announced its new TrueVis VF2-640 eco-solvent printer, “print-only”.

Basic features
The first “print-only” model comes as a part of Roland DG’s TrueVIS series, the VF2-640 upgrades the features of the TrueVIS VG2 series combined machines. The new-generation technology, together with the extra power to produce previously unachievable colours. It makes the VF2 a source of amazing print results. Its latest ink formulation brings a new TR2 Green ink. The Green, in combination with vibrant TR2 Orange ink in process colours, produces a far wider gamut. This specially developed TR2 Green ink is currently available for use with the TrueVIS VG2 series too.
Just as VG2-printed jobs, prints produced by VF2 with standard TR2 inks carry both the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty and also the Avery Dennison™ ICS Performance Guarantee. So, it ensures and certifies the quality and durability of the printed graphics.
The VF2-640 offers its users a brand new level of colour control and vibrancy, thus making it simple and fast to produce precise colour signs, fleet graphics, various labels, and also garment heat transfers that exceed any expectation.
True Rich Color 2
The VF2-640 comes with a new True Rich Color 2 Preset, thus maximizing the printer potential and its wide-gamut, GREENGUARD Gold certified TR2 inks. The True Rich Color 2 Preset allows users to combine vibrant colours and neutral grays, smooth gradations, also natural skin tones, to produce vivid, photorealistic output. The expanded Green colours in True Rich Color 2 provide additional process colours. Besides those, a Green Roland DG Colour System Library with 142 newly rendered spot colours allows you to enhance colour matching and reproduction.

It has a new, stable TU4 media take-up system. The two take-up modes provide optimum versatility, the new pinch roller system design provides an easy media feed and improved tracking accuracy. In addition, the smart new media clamps increase the simplicity and streamline workflow. For convenient working, the VF2 printer configuration offers Roland DG Mobile 2: A new feature that allows you test-print, clean, and handle printing issues from your mobile device.
What about cutting?
In addition to the VF2 printer, Roland offers the great combination of printing & cutting with the Roland’s GR-640 large-format cutter, or a Roland DG Pro series cutter, for high-productivity, precision cutting of labels, heat transfers, and multiple other print and cut applications. Print/ cut data can be automatically processed by the printer’s VersaWorks® 6 RIP software, for best production results.
